Is Hedy Deck free? Do I need an account?
Yes. Hedy Deck is free to use, with no login or sign-up required. Create, import and present slides directly in your browser. Viewers can join with a presentation link or room code, without an account.
Can I present PowerPoint files, PDFs and images?
Yes. Import a PowerPoint presentation, a PDF or a set of images. In Deck Studio, you can convert them to a .hedydeck file, reorder slides and edit titles and notes. Imported slide artwork is flattened; original text and shapes are not individually editable, and animations and video are not retained. Older .ppt files use text-only import.
How do I use my phone as a presentation remote?
Open a deck and choose Phone remote to connect your phone. You can move between slides and read your speaker notes while the audience sees the presentation on another screen.
Can I cast my slides to a TV?
Yes, on compatible devices. For Google Cast, use Chrome on a computer connected to the same Wi-Fi as your Chromecast or Google Cast TV. You can also open the TV screen page in a TV browser and enter your room code. Cast availability depends on your browser and device.
Where are my decks saved?
Your library is saved in this browser, and importing a file does not upload it to a server. Export a .hedydeck file to keep a portable copy or move it to another device. If you explicitly choose a temporary sharing link, that deck and its notes are uploaded for the link’s lifetime.
Can I use an AI assistant to create a presentation?
Yes. Give your assistant the Hedy Deck agent guide to create a compatible deck. Open the result in Deck Studio to review and edit it, then present or export it.
